Dubai Hotels: Sheraton Mall of Emirates
Dubai Hotels: Sheraton Mall of Emirates
Dubai is an amazing city with so much to offer. One thing that’s particularly good in Dubai is shopping, and the Sheraton Mall of Emirates hotel is the perfect place to stay if you’re hoping to spend some time at the Mall of Emirates. This 5-star hotel not only serves as a great base for easy access to the mall, it’s also conveniently located to explore much more of this incredible city…
The Hotel…

The hotel is directly connected to this iconic shopping destination – Mall of Emirates, which is home to over 600 retail brands as well as Ski Dubai and Magic Planet. Ski Dubai is the Middle East’s first indoor ski resort. Here you can learn to ski, ride the snow bullet as high as 16m in the air, and experience a penguin encounter. While Magic Planet offers arcade games, rides and simulators. There’s also a cinema, theatre and bowling too.
The hotel itself is beautifully designed. Contemporary with cultural influences, there are some amazing architectural details, light installations and works of art. The rooms are simple yet luxurious, using lots of warm neutral shades and dark wood. Each room has a beautiful view of the city too, through floor-to-ceiling windows overlooking downtown Dubai and Jumeirah Beach.

This is a large hotel, with 387 rooms and 94 suites in total. There are rooms to suit everyone, with family suites, twin rooms and double and king rooms. The ground floor entrance is incredibly striking, with huge pillars sitting either side of the front desk, while the second floor mall entrance features stunning contemporary-style chandeliers. Most striking of all though is the 5th floor lobby chandelier, which has to be seen in person to fully understand the scale.
Dining at Sheraton Mall of Emirates…

There are several options for dining at the hotel, which is perfect if you’d prefer an evening ‘in’. I loved Besh Turkish Kitchen. With amazing views and traditional Turkish dishes with unique twists, this is the ideal dinner spot after a long day shopping. Another option is OAnjo. This restaurant blends Portuguese and Nikkei (Japanese-Peruvian) cuisine, resulting in completely unique dishes. It also has 360 views of the Dubai skyline.
If there’s any sports that you don’t want to miss during your stay, you can tune in at the Spartan Sports Cafe, where you can also grab breakfast, lunch or dinner too. There’s also the Link@Sheraton Cafe too, open all day serving savoury light bites and sweet snacks, coffees and teas.

The ‘Extras’…
There are two rooftop pools at Sheraton Mall of Emirates, which make the most of the amazing views of the city beyond. Here you will also find the Sanctuary Pool Bar, where you can grab refreshments and light dishes and enjoy them poolside.
Also on-site is the Shine Spa, which again, provides breathtaking views. At the spa there are four treatment rooms and a couple’s room too, should you want to enjoy a treatment together. There’s also a sauna, steam room and jacuzzi too. Should you want to keep up with your fitness regime while travelling, there’s a fully equipped gym too.

The Area: Central Dubai
Directly connected to The Mall of the Emirates, the hotel is right in the heart of Dubai. The Dubai Metro is within walking distance, and the hotel sits in between Dubai Downtown and Dubai Marina. This makes it an ideal location if you want to see a variety of things and places during your trip. Jumeirah Beach is also fairly close too, and is a great place to spend a day relaxing on the beach, or getting involved in water sports.
Downtown Dubai is well worth a visit and is within walking distance. Here you’ll find the Dubai Fountain, Burk Khalifa (which you can see from the rooftop pool at the hotel), Dubai Mall, Dubai Aquarium and Dubai Opera.
You’ll find the hotel about half way along Sheikh Zayed Road, and there’s even a direct link to the Mall of the Emirates metro station, making it easy to get around. If you’re travelling for business, Sheraton Mall of Emirates is also conveniently located close to Media City and Dubai World Trade Centre.
During my stay here, I loved the balance that could be achieved between spending time at the hotel, out in the city and at the Mall of Emirates. The hotel felt luxurious but comfortable, making for a fantastic stay from start to finish.
