Dubai Hotels: Mövenpick Hotel Apartments Downtown Dubai

Dec 31, 2023

This 5-star hotel in Downtown Dubai is a great option if you’re looking to base yourself right in the middle of the best of what Dubai has to offer. With various landmarks, attractions, bars and hotels on your doorstep, Mövenpick Hotel Apartments in Downtown Dubai offers luxurious accommodation and much more…

The Hotel…

With eight spacious accommodation options, there’s an accommodation option to suit everyone at Mövenpick Hotel Apartments Downtown Dubai. You can choose from an apartment, the penthouse suite or a studio room, all of which are decorated in a beautifully simple contemporary style. I’d highly recommend staying in one of the deluxe rooms, or a fully equipped apartment for a home away from home. Some of the larger apartments can sleep up to six, making them ideal if you are travelling in a group.

In 2022, the hotel won the ‘Best Hotel Apartments of the Year in the Middle East’ at the 8th Hospitality Excellence Awards and during my stay I could easily see why. The service I experienced really up there, as was the accommodation and the overall experience. I found the hotel staff so welcoming and helpful, and particularly enjoyed the time I spent by the pool

Dining at Mövenpick Hotel Apartments Downtown Dubai…

On-site you’ll find Bein, an ‘all-day-dining’ restaurant. You can grab whatever you fancy here, any time of day. The beautiful setting makes it a real pleasure to dine here, while the varied menu has something for everyone. On offer is the à la carte menu, a three-course set lunch which is served right up until 6pm, salads, fruit and pastries, cakes and savoury snacks too. Bein has a series of signature dishes, but twice a year you can experience it’s limited edition menu too.

If you want a more casual setting, there’s the Oasis Pool Lounge on the 4th floor. Here you can grab mocktails, light dishes and ice cream, all in a relaxing outdoor setting with lots of greenery.

Mövenpick are famous for their coffee, ice cream and chocolate, all of which is available to try at the hotel.

The ‘Extras’…

Next to the Oasis Pool Lounge is the incredible rooftop pool. You could easily spend a whole afternoon relaxing here, particularly because drinks and nibbles are on offer too. With an amazing view of the city, sun loungers, parasoles and comfy armchairs, head to the pool after a long day exploring Dubai, or take an afternoon ‘off’ to unwind here.

ONSEN Spa is the on-site spa at Mövenpick Downtown Dubai. Here you’ll find a sauna, steam room and gym, as well as a variety of treatments to choose from too. A morning in the spa combined with an afternoon by the pool is a great mid-week pick-me-up.

Of course not forgetting ‘chocolate hour’, which Mövenpick is famous for. This takes place in the hotel lobby, and it’s well worth getting back in time for at least once. There are live demonstrations, and best of all, you get to sample the chocolate too.

The Area: Downtown Dubai…

Within walking distance from the hotel you will find the Dubai Mall, with hundreds of shops and places to eat, as well as the Dubai Fountain and Burj Khalifa, the tallest tower in the world. Downtown Dubai is pedestrian-friendly with an urban community, which means it has a real buzz about it and it’s also easy to get around.

It’s known for its 5-star hotels, and Mövenpick is one of the very best. Head to Burj park to reconnect with nature, and don’t forget to check what’s on while you are there – the park regularly hosts large-scale events, and during the winter months there’s a pop-up market too.

Take a stroll through the beautiful promenades of Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Boulevard, where you will find lots of incredible restaurants. If you keep walking, you’ll find the Dubai Opera, hosting concerts and plays.

If you’re looking for a great location to explore Dubai from, as well as a retreat to unwind and enjoy great food, Mövenpick Hotel Apartments in Downtown Dubai is a great option. Ideal for friends, couples and larger groups, the hotel’s versatile accommodation is comfortable and spacious, while the smaller details creates that luxury experience.
