Being in nature
Each morning, we woke up to the golden hues of the sunrise stretching over the water. Sipping tea on the terrace, we watched the bay come to life. One particularly magical day, we spotted dolphins gliding through the waves when we ventured on a short walk on Carbis Bay Beach, a reminder of how special this place truly is.

Luxury Meets Comfort & Wellness: The Home That Has It All
Somers Place is designed with both style and comfort in mind. The modern interiors strike the perfect balance between sophistication and cosiness. The property boasts seven generous bedrooms, each with its own unique style, and eight bathrooms, six of which are en-suite. The outdoor heated pool became our go-to relaxation spot, offering a warm swim even when the coastal breeze picked up. After long days of exploring, the sauna provided the perfect way to unwind. The open-plan living spaces gave us plenty of room to gather, while still offering cosy corners for quiet moments.
For entertainment, the cinema room was a hit on rainy days, and the pool table in the TV lounge provided friendly competition. You’ll be pleased to know I beat Luke, a rarity! Fitness enthusiasts will appreciate the gym overlooking Carbis Bay, equipped with a Peloton bike, Technogym running track, yoga mats, and weights. The sunken hot tub, indoor sauna and established garden with multiple terraces offered secluded spots to relax and enjoy the surroundings.

For the ultimate relaxation, we booked in-house massages with Wise Sage Mobile Wellbeing. Lying back while gazing with ocean views through floor-to-ceiling windows made it an experience we won’t soon forget.

Seamless Dining: Incredible Food, Zero Effort
One of the best things about staying here was how effortless everything felt. We had a local BBQ box delivered from the Cornish Food Box Company, packed with fresh, high-quality ingredients, such as Cornish grass fed beef burgers, Cornish mackerel fillets, Cornish chilli jam and much more, no need for grocery runs. For lunch with the sun shining, we grilled on the terrace, sharing stories and laughter over a meal that was both simple and delicious. The open-plan kitchen, equipped with Wolf and Subzero appliances, made meal preparation a joy. The bespoke resin river dining table, seating 14 guests, was perfect for our family gatherings.

Unforgettable Moments Together
Beyond the stunning location and amenities, the most valuable part of our stay was the time we had together. Whether it was playing board games in the cosy living room, indulging in long, unhurried meals, taking in the coastal views, or relaxing by the fire, Somers Place allowed us to slow down and reconnect.
